This role is a part of the Revenue Accounting finance team, reporting to the Senior Manager Revenue and Billing Operations.


The purpose of this team is to accurately account for revenue, cost of sales and the associated balance sheet amounts, to ensure there are robust controls over processes and the balance sheet, and to provide analysis on Checkout's net revenue results.


This will be a varied role with the opportunity to contribute to be a key part of several activities within Revenue and Billing operations .


What you'll be doing:

Support the timely and accurate reporting of net revenue results each month. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations for different accounts and working with different teams to resolve balance sheet issues. Be the face of Revenue and Billing Operations for all audit related activities Support the Manager, Incentives with creation and updating of financial models Hold responsibility for setting up new revenue and balance sheet recording processes, including writing procedure manuals Continuous improvement of reporting/ processes to assist with stakeholder requirements. Set-up documentation and processes that are robust and well controlled for period end close and audit purposes. Continually look at ways of improving data integrity and quality, automation, strengthening of controls, operational and reporting efficiency. Responding to stakeholder queries. Ad-hoc finance and operational activities Perform accounting and reconciliation processes and controls across our key trading account balances. Analyse and reconcile data from various systems and sources to identify control gaps and reconciliation breaks.

Qualifications:



Must have:



Part qualified chartered accountant (ACCA,ACA, or CPA) or equivalent At least 4 years experience with strong varied accounting experience including month end reporting activities, balance sheet reconciliations and facing off to auditors Experience in Accounting operations i.e P2P, revenue accounting , finance modeling , reconciliations etc Part qualified chartered accountant (ACCA,ACA, or CPA) or equivalent

Nice to have:



Practical Accounting GAAP knowledge to include ASC606 / IFRS 16. Strong Excel modelling skills Strong analytical skills, and handling large data sets. Experienced in working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment Experienced with ERP systems (Workday Financials preferred but not required) Experience of working in a high-volume, complex and dynamic environment ideally within Payments/FinTech or Financial Services Proven ability to find end-to-end solutions to issues and work cross-functionally and with remote teams - including Finance, Product, Engineering, Data.
