CK Architectural is in its 12th year and is continuing to grow through client popularity due to our unique system of design and build services. Due to continued success across Yorkshire and the UK, we are looking to add a Senior Architectural Technologist. The role will be based at our main office in Melton, East Yorkshire working on a wide variety of projects. We are continuously improving our drawing standards driving to produce the best technical build support drawing packages.

The job role will be mostly office based with some site visits to survey, inspect or check prestart information. You will primarily be producing highly detailed, well-presented building regulations and working drawings. Source, discussing and collating consultant information such as structural design packages. Working with building control and planning officers as necessary, providing on site solution when required.

The right candidate will have an in-depth working knowledge of UK building regulations and planning processes. Understand the built environment and physical application of drawing details in the real world-built environment.

The role would perfectly suit someone with a vast technical design and building knowledge, looking to work with an established and experienced team improving issues with the design to build process.

Duties

Produce high quality technical drawings to our standards Liaise with contractors, clients, consultants, building control etc Produce technical design solutions Prebuild surveys and on-site assessments Write technical specification to suit building control regulations (approved documents) Write schedule of works Collaborate with senior architects and project leads to ensure designs are deliverable for builders/contractors Assist with efficiency and standardisation of our drawing libraries
Qualifications/Experience

10+ Years experience in similar role Working knowledge of UK buildings new and historic Proficiency in AutoCAD Have knowledge of UK Planning Policies & Building Regulations Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A keen eye for detail and a passion for architecture and design. Relevant degree or qualification in Architecture or a related field is preferred.

Pay: 37,500.00-42,500.00 per year
