Overview of the role and responsibilities

This position offers a rewarding insight into the Commission\'s enforcement role. As an Enforcement Team member, you will have the opportunity to learn new regulatory skills, work on a variety of enforcement projects using our different legal powers, and contribute to the strategic direction of our enforcement work.

You will be responsible for conducting high profile regulatory work, under the supervision of a Principal lawyer. You will need to be motivated, organised and enjoy working on a range of tasks and projects both individually and as part of a wider team.

Other responsibilities will include, assessing equality issues and identifying action that we may take, analysing compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, and work relating to our power to enter legally binding agreements under section 23 of the Equality Act 2006.

You will be working as part of a wider team who conduct cutting-edge litigation and interventions across a range of equality and human rights law. You will need to fulfil this role in a way that is in keeping with our values of fairness, dignity and respect, and display flexibility, accountability and initiative.
