Barista - New Cafe Opening February



Location:

Rural location - please note there are no bus routes available, so own transport is essential.

We are excited to be opening a

brand-new cafe

this February and are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic

Barista

to join our team from the very beginning. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new business, help shape the atmosphere, and grow with us as we launch.

Job Summary



We are seeking a passionate and efficient Barista who enjoys delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. The role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and helping to create a warm and welcoming space for our customers.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other hot and cold beverages to company standards Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient customer service Take customer orders accurately and handle payments using the cash register Maintain cleanliness of the cafe, including coffee stations, equipment, utensils, seating areas, and back-of-house spaces Carry out regular cleaning down tasks throughout the day and at closing Assist with basic food preparation such as assembling snacks or light meals Restock supplies and monitor stock levels Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations Manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining quality and service standards

Skills & Experience



Previous barista experience or knowledge of coffee-making techniques is preferred, but not essential Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards Experience working in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment Ability to carry out cleaning and food preparation tasks efficiently Basic maths skills for handling cash and measurements Strong time management and organisational skills Friendly, approachable attitude with good communication skills Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to a new business environment

rural location with no public transport

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
