Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and have a strong understanding of coffee preparation and food safety standards. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialised drinks in accordance with company standards. Assist in training and mentoring junior baristas to ensure consistency in service and product quality. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Handle customer orders efficiently, ensuring prompt service and addressing any special requests or concerns. Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, stock replenishment, and equipment checks. Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using various payment methods. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including light snack assembly or presentation. Ensure the cafe remains clean, organised, and welcoming throughout shifts. Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management proactively. Uphold health and safety standards across all aspects of the operation.

Experience

Proven experience as a Barista with a strong understanding of coffee brewing techniques and beverage presentation. Prior experience in a supervisory or senior role within a cafe or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry. Demonstrated ability to serve customers efficiently while maintaining high standards of service quality. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met consistently. Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
