Senior Barista

to join the team at

Woolwich Waves

This is more than a barista job - it's a chance to shape the coffee experience at one of the UK's most anticipated leisure centres.


What you'll do




As a Senior Barista, you'll play a key role in the smooth running of our cafe and coffee, ensuring every drink and interaction meets the highest standards. You'll take ownership of quality, consistency, and presentation - from bean to cup - while supporting the Cafe in day-to-day operations.





You'll:


Lead and motivate a small team of baristas and catering assistants during shifts Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest has a positive experience Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and fresh food in line with GLL standards Manage stock levels, place orders, and support regular stocktakes Uphold food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring full compliance at all times Support training and development of new team members Assist with setting up for events and children's parties when required Handle cash and card transactions accurately Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming cafe environment

What you'll bring




Previous experience as a

Senior Barista

or

Barista Trainer / Supervisor

A genuine passion for coffee, customer service, and creating a welcoming environment Strong communication and multitasking skills The ability to lead by example and inspire others Level 2 Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate (or willingness to achieve this) Flexibility to work a rota including weekends and evenings
