The Union Club is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Bartender to lead our bar operations and deliver exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, skilled behind the bar, and ready to take on a leadership position in a fast-paced venue.
About the Role
As Senior Bartender, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of drink quality, service, and team performance. You'll lead by example during service, support junior staff, and ensure the bar runs smoothly day to day.
Responsibilities
Delivering high-quality drinks and consistent service
Leading bar shifts and supporting FOH staff during service
Training, mentoring, and supervising junior bartenders
Managing stock levels, ordering, and minimizing waste
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and compliance behind the bar
Upholding responsible service of alcohol (RSA) standards
Assisting with menu development and bar improvements where required
Skills
Proven experience as a senior or experienced bartender
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak service times
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate team members and foster a positive work environment
Good organizational skills to keep the bar area tidy and well-stocked at all times

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
