We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Senior Business Analyst.

Role Purpose

This role is to provide lead business analysis skills to the Middle-Office Asset Servicing Project, based in Edinburgh and siting within Global Product Change as part of the Fund Services business within HSBC Securities Services.

The Asset Servicing programme is a key component of the wider Fund Services Ops change portfolio, which exists to build and implement a technology and operating model infrastructure to support the provision of Middle-Office services to Fund Services clients globally.

The successful applicant will be expected to work as part of a Global Asset Servicing Change team responsible for platform changes, Vendor management, BAU support and onboarding new business.

This will involve carrying out detailed analysis to capture all requirements, work on technical solutions, configuration, work with the IT teams on development items (where applicable), testing the requirements for delivery into the Business or with The Client and managing the go live of the deliverable or Client On-boarding element.

Role will require a close working relationship with the Edinburgh/London/Hong Kong based project team to ensure consistency of delivery, agreement of project milestones and set up of local support functions.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Working with Product, Operations & Technology to agree and deliver on the strategic vision.
  • Be accountable for the full project life cycle of activities assigned.
  • Carry out analysis and liaise with Operations/Technology to produce detailed requirements.
  • Manage stakeholders through clear and concise communication.
  • Creation and execution of test scenarios for new functionality.
  • Utilise knowledge to identify potential improvements both Technical and Operational.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
  • Demonstrated experience in business analysis / change roles.
  • Experience of working in a large-scale change environment
  • Experience/skill with the relevant toolsets \xe2\x80\x93 SQL, Microsoft Office including. Knowledge of other report-writing and development toolsets an advantage.
  • Experience in SDLC, with experience in Agile or other fast delivery methodologies/environments. Experience in analysis, design, testing and release management.
  • Experience of the Asset Servicing lifecycle is preferred but not essential.
