We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a senior care environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in a home care setting, demonstrating exceptional leadership and management skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality care for clients, and supporting the management team in delivering effective care plans tailored to individual needs, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Duties
Assist in the management of domiciliary care , ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Supervise and support for staff members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
Develop and implement care plans for service users, ensuring they receive personalised support based on their unique requirements.
Oversee medication administration and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for residents, including those requiring specialised dementia or Alzheimer's care.
Conduct regular assessments of service users needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion within the home, ensuring all residents feel valued and cared for.
Participate in training programmes to enhance staff skills and knowledge in senior care practices.
Requirements
Proven experience in Domiciliary environments is essential.
Background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of senior care principles, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams effectively.
Ability to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual service users.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and ensuring the wellbeing of all residents within the facility.
