We're looking for a
Senior Residential Care Worker
to lead and support a young person with complex needs in a solo residential provision, while guiding and developing a committed care team.
About the Role
In this vital position, you'll play a key role in delivering consistent, high-quality care in a one-to-one setting. Your focus will be on creating a stable, nurturing environment grounded in therapeutic principles. As a leader within the home, you'll cultivate a values-led culture and ensure the emotional and physical wellbeing of the young person in your care.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the care of a young person in a solo residential setting, ensuring their safety and emotional wellbeing.
Apply trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches to build trust and support recovery.
Safely manage crisis situations using approved physical intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Deliver tailored mental health and behavioural support.
Lead, mentor, and support the care team through supervision, rota management, and shift leadership.
Work collaboratively with external professionals, including social workers and therapists, to provide integrated, child-centred care.
Maintain high standards in safeguarding, record-keeping, and health & safety compliance.
What We're Looking For
Experience in complex care environments, with a focus on mental health and behavioural support.
Skilled in de-escalation and physical intervention, with a calm and resilient approach.
Confident leadership abilities and a commitment to team development.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business insurance required).

Residential Childcare: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (preferred)
