Responsibilities
To assist the Manager in providing a high quality service for children and young people requiring care.
To lead by example and maintain good professional practices.
To take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people, whilst on duty.
To ensure all children have a plan, a risk assessment, behaviour management plan and any other child's plan and that work is completed with them as instructed by their plans.
To lead shift plans and weekly plans, guiding and supporting staff on duty to implement the plan and when incidents occur.
Qualifications/Experience
At least two years' experience in working with children/young people
Minimum one-year at a senior level within a children's home setting
Experience of managing staff team
Experience of working with children with challenging behaviours
Have completed NVQ Level 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
Excellent communication and written skills
Have the ability to develop good working relations with the team, professionals and the young people
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 14.12-15.27 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
