The Role



As a

Senior Care & Support Worker

, you will play a key leadership role in enhancing the quality of life for our service users while also guiding and mentoring a team of care workers. Your responsibilities will include:

Care & Support Duties:



Providing high-quality, person-centred care in line with care plans and risk assessments. Assisting individuals with daily activities, promoting well-being, and encouraging independence. Offering emotional support, companionship, and ensuring dignity and respect in care delivery. Supporting individuals in achieving personal goals and outcomes, fostering an inclusive and empowering environment. Administering medication and ensuring correct procedures are followed and documented. Conducting moving and handling assessments and ensuring manual handling policies are adhered to. Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and nutrition monitoring to support individual needs. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control in accordance with policies. Safeguarding individuals by reporting concerns in line with safeguarding policies. Supporting individuals with memory retention, life skills, and mental well-being.

Team Leading & Supervisory Responsibilities:



Organising and leading care and support during shifts, ensuring smooth service delivery. Participating in on-call duties as part of a rota system. Assisting with emergency cover, rota management, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels. Monitoring and ensuring accurate documentation on the electronic care records system. Conducting assessments and reviews, including care planning, risk assessment, and individual progress monitoring. Overseeing a group of individuals, ensuring care plans, risk assessments, and documentation are up to date. Mentoring and supporting care & support workers, fostering their professional growth and development. Conducting spot checks on staff performance and maintaining detailed records. Ensuring compliance with the Social Services & Wellbeing Act 2014, promoting individual rights and choices. Encouraging clear and compassionate communication within the team and with stakeholders. Monitoring health and safety within the care environment and reporting any concerns or equipment failures.

Additional Information



Contracted Full Time:

35-hour contract

Paid Mileage:

Compensation for travel expenses.

Travel Time:

Paid time for travelling between appointments.

On-Call Payment:

Additional compensation for on-call duties.

Experience:
