Due to further expansion of our Team, We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker 3-4 nights (33 to 44 hrs per week) to join our team in providing exceptional care to elderly residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and have a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors. As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing care plans, supervising care staff, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care.
The Directors are heavily committed to returning the home to be one of the best homes in Tameside and we have invested in lots of support roles ( HR , Training, Quality Assurance) to assist all employees in carrying out their roles to the best of their abilities and for the first and foremost goal of providing excellent care and support to our beloved residents.
Duties
Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Supervise and mentor carer staff members, fostering a supportive team environment.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition using IT ( PCS) systems.
Work in partnership with activities coordinators to encourage social interaction among residents to promote well-being.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
Lead on Medication Administration
Skills
Ideally have proven experience in senior care or a desire to create a career in residential care management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability undertake formal 1:1 supervisions and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and their families compassionately.
Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Ability to develop comprehensive care plans that meet the individual needs of residents.
A deep understanding of the challenges faced by seniors in a care home environment is advantageous.
