We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. As a Senior Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supervising care staff, developing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support junior care staff in their daily duties to ensure effective delivery of care services. Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident. Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, ensuring dignity and respect at all times. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their health or behaviour. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Assist with training and mentoring new staff members to uphold best practices within the team. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment. Participate in team meetings to discuss resident welfare and improve service delivery.

Requirements

Previous experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is essential. Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills is highly desirable. Strong understanding of developing and implementing effective care plans for residents. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and their families. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care. A valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs when required. A compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors is essential.
