Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations Assist with meal assembly and presentation to ensure visual appeal Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and equipment Support the team during busy periods, ensuring smooth kitchen operations Monitor stock levels and notify management of supply needs Adhere to portion control standards to minimise waste

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles Previous experience working in a restaurant environment is desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the kitchen environment
