Responsibilities
Provide personalized support to children in various settings.
Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with families and professionals.
Mentor and guide junior staff members in best practices and effective strategies.
Engage children in recreational activities that promote social skills and emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and communicate findings to the team.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Act as a key point of contact for parents and caregivers, providing them with updates and support.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children and their families.
A City and Guilds Level 2 Health and social care core and working towards City and Guilds level 3 Health and Social care:Practise (Children and Young people) is Essential
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support colleagues.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for overseeing care plans.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of children and changing circumstances.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.00-14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.5 - 40.5 per week
