ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The role of Senior Client Manager (Compliance) has responsibility for their own portfolio of clients. As part of the role, Senior Client Managers will ensure that all internally set accounts production deadlines are met. Senior Client Managers assume responsibility for the quality, accuracy and on time delivery of work produced within your team. You will also work with additional resources available to produce the necessary accounts, and therefore, have the responsibility to manage that resource to ensure delivery.
Your role is to create an exceptional experience for our Clients by ensuring that on time and accurate production delivery is met. Building long lasting and valuable relationships with clients is key as well as providing advice and recommending additional services.
Senior Client Managers will naturally generate new business opportunities given the close relationships, regular contact, and insights this role fosters with clients. As such, the Senior Client Manager will ensure that growth opportunities are identified and live prospects are managed through to the Onboarding process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client meetings and relationships -
Delivering meetings to clients to ensure they are clear on their accounting position. Carrying out the necessary meeting preparation so that clients go away from meetings being more informed about their business finances. Developing a good understanding of our clients businesses and delivering excellent service at all client touch points.
Accounts Production -
Ensuring the accurate and on time delivery of Year End accounts production and submissions including; business and personal taxation reviews, accounts preparation, CT preparation, submission of statutory accounts, processing confirmation statements.
Reviewing work and Developing the team -
You will have oversight of the accuracy of Compliance work delivered within your team. You will review work and provide feedback to others. Where knowledge or skills gaps are identified, you will coach and train colleague to support their development.
Tax Planning -
Delivering effective tax planning by producing and presenting corporation and personal tax positions, recognising opportunities for tax mitigation, advise on how tax should be managed / paid, advising on share structures where required, utilising appropriate tax banding for clients and recognising where specialist tax advice is required.
MI Production -
Producing and delivering comprehensive Numbers Reports for clients, including month end production, VAT returns and CIS requirements.
Finance Function -
Oversight, by working with colleagues, or delivery of, bank recs, posting to nominal codes and journals, basic VAT treatment, CIS processing etc.
ABOUT YOU
KEY SKILLS
? AAT Level 4 minimum
? ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification or equivalent QBE
? Experience of working in Accounting Practice at a similar level
? Knowledge of Xero and/or the ability to adapt to use latest software technologies
? MS Office or G Suite
? Great communication skills
? The ability to form strong client relationships and strong people skills
? Providing feedback to colleagues, developing and training others.
PREFERRED SKILLS
? Knowledge of Taxcalc or similar Accounting software
? Strong presentation skills
