Senior Care Assistant - Domiciliary Care
Location: Totnes, Teignmouth and Dawlish
Salary: 12.50 Mon-Fri and 12.75 weekends and bank holidays
Hours: Full-Time

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our mission to deliver high-quality care to our service users.Role Overview:As a Senior Care Assistant in our domiciliary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care to individuals within their own homes. You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to junior care assistants, and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication as per care plans and ensure accurate record-keeping.- Support service users with maintaining their independence and well-being in a comfortable and familiar environment.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.- Ensure that care plans are followed and regularly updated.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.- Assist with the recruitment and induction of new care staff.
- Take part in our on-call system (one week in 4)
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in a care setting (preferably in domiciliary or home care).
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
