The Role




A strong, conceptual mind with the ability to translate creative briefs into compelling ideas that bring a strategy or high-level creative direction to life. They can articulate a vision, tell a story, and justify their subjective ideas and executions with insightful rationales. They will work as a direct creative resource, independently or as part of a team, and will act as mentors to other more junior creative resources.


The role requires a writer who understands the different tones, formats and approaches to copywriting. The Senior Copywriter can be immersed in insights and strategic messages with the aim of crafting an employer value proposition and supportive points and then find themselves writing more intuitively for an attraction campaign. They will work across a broad spectrum of creative projects, from blue sky concepting with an art director to really nail the right combination of words and visuals, through to devising strategic messaging platforms, assisting with website content planning, creating standout digital and mobile content, and more. Great editing skills to bring brevity, clarity and sharp focus to all copy content will be important.


The Senior Copywriter will work across a wide range of client logos, sectors, locations and talent types, as well as supporting growth through creative input into new business activities.

Key Accountabilities



Learn about each client's employer needs, their candidates and market conditions to help craft an appropriate direction for brand messaging and campaigns Develop insight-led employer value propositions (EVP) and messaging platforms and translate EVP into authentic copy across a range of touchpoints Lead ideation and copy development and execution for employer brand campaigns, recruitment marketing, and internal communications Write engaging content for career sites, job descriptions, social media, events, videos, blogs, and employee spotlights Provide a wide range of ideas and options against creative brief Co-develop with art directors and designers unique, on-strategy conceptual directions for all types of projects Present creative concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively Be the passionate voice of the candidate, always ready to remind colleagues and clients who whom we are trying to reach Collaborate with client Talent Acquisition and Marketing/Brand teams to ensure brand consistency and tone and act as a brand guardian to foster consistency across all projects and campaigns Mentor junior writers and review content for clarity, tone, and impact


Skills & Experience






Extensive copywriting experience, ideally within employer branding or marketing agencies. Proven track record working in creative teams or agency environments. Skilled in taking briefs from concept through to final production. Versatile and collaborative, able to work effectively with designers, motion graphics, and other creative resources. Confident in pitching and selling ideas internally and to clients. Strong understanding of different media formats and how copy adapts across them. Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns across sectors while maintaining high-quality creative output under tight deadlines.
