Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Living Activities Director to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. This role is pivotal in fostering a vibrant community atmosphere, ensuring that all residents have access to a variety of social, recreational, and educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an ability to analyse resident interests, and a flair for upselling activities that enhance the overall living experience.

Duties

Develop and implement a comprehensive activities programme tailored to the interests and needs of residents. Coordinate and oversee daily activities, ensuring they are well-organised and enjoyable for all participants. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and encourage participation. Analyse feedback from residents to continuously improve the activities offered. Manage data entry related to resident participation and preferences for reporting purposes. Upsell special events or programmes that may enhance resident engagement. Foster a welcoming environment by demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when communicating with families or external partners. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of activities within the overall care plan for residents.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within senior living or community services is preferred. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities (particularly Spanish) are highly advantageous. Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with relevant software applications. Ability to analyse resident needs and preferences effectively. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in planning events. A genuine passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life. Ability to upsell programmes or services that benefit residents.
