Senior Creative Designer

  • You will be responsible for visual design and working closely with the Communication Consultant in managing the end-to-end communication project delivery.
  • Other responsibilities are, but not limited to: meetings with the client, the initial brief, concept creation, design and layout, through to producing artwork and managing production on all client communication collateral.
  • Use your proactivity, lead creatively, looking to add value and continually develop whilst taking pride in delivering/working with the Comms team.
  • You will also be an inspiration to the team, an innovator and a great mentor to the junior team members.

We will count on you to:
  • Conceptualise, create, manage and deliver creative designs for internal and external clients in various forms of media
  • Manage production throughout the lifecycle of the creative project, liaising with suppliers directly
  • Successfully deliver own tasks/activities or as directed by one of the Creative Leads
  • Lead the relationship with both internal and external stakeholders and be able to identify the creative requirements for the engagement of the clients\xe2\x80\x99 employees and anticipate potential challenges of the project
  • Ensure excellent time management and deadlines compliance on each project, making sure project\xe2\x80\x99s keep to budget
  • Produce design projects to a high standard and being responsible for the design brief and requesting advice, proof checks or stage development meetings where necessary to ensure it meets client expectations and always before final approval/delivery
  • Work with the design team to ensure the integrity of the original concept
  • Understand and work within brand and corporate guidelines and to challenge them where relevant
  • Use your experience and knowledge to foresee, identify and resolve design, artwork and print challenges
  • Collaborate cross team to exceed client expectations, delivering excellent quality work
  • Communicate progress at every stage of the design and artwork process for the smooth running of work and planning schedules
  • Travel to client offices for meeting and workshops (when required), manage and maintain the creative relationship with the client throughout the life of the project
  • Work within a budget (set in hours) and complete the project within the allocated budget. Provide the business with best value by estimating and managing time accurately ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality
  • Continually look for innovative formats and products that could be packaged and sold as part of the Communications offering
  • Produce dummies, mock-ups and presentation boards to a high level of finish for internal and external presentation
  • Make available detailed project notes to assist in the smooth handover of work during a foreseeable absence
  • Train, mentor and inspire the rest of the team members, sharing the knowledge, experience and being a thought leader
  • Take responsibility for continuous personal development and learning, helping to identify objectives and opportunities for skills development
What you need to have:
  • Significant design industry/agency experience with a track record of producing quality, creative designs for multiple clients through multiple channels
  • Excellent CS skills \xe2\x80\x93 particularly in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • A portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of both print and digital based work and clients, providing examples that demonstrate high knowledge of print production methods
  • High quality retouching skills, typography and layout skills
  • Accuracy \xe2\x80\x93 in everything and close attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player who is able to adapt and support and find creative solutions for the Impact team
  • Ability to explain in an articulate manner, the thinking and rationale behind the creative
