Job description
The Role
We're looking for a strategic M365 leader to shape and deliver modern workplace solutions across SharePoint, Teams, Email, Power BI, and more. You'll drive platform strategy, champion adoption, and set best practices organisation-wide. As the central decision-maker for M365 platform strategy, you will promote its adoption and ensure alignment with organisational goals.
In this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert for our core collaboration solutions, taking a lead role in managing service delivery, shaping strategic direction, architecting technical solutions, and implementing continuous improvements to enhance user experience and productivity. Your experience with the wider Microsoft 365 infrastructure will be essential in delivering integrated, scalable solutions.
You will also bring knowledge and experience of VFQ/Agile techniques, including Kanban, to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement. An ITIL Foundation certification would further support your ability to manage services effectively within a structured framework.
On a typical day you will
Spot opportunities to modernise how RoS uses M365 tools
Streamline processes to boost productivity and reduce manual effort
Deliver smart solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Power Platform
Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and UX to prioritise impactful work
Partner with governance teams to mature our M365 platform
Solve business challenges and showcase the value of modern workplace technology
Identify tasks ripe for automation using PowerAutomate, PowerApps, or PowerBI
Simplify tools by aligning M365 with existing platforms
Mentor team members and guide strategic technical direction

Essential Criteria - Skills and Attributes for Success
Experience/Technical:
We will assess you against the following Experience and Technical skills during the application and assessment process:
Proven success in designing, implementing, and supporting core modern workplace technologies including M365, SharePoint, Teams, Email, Power BI, application development.
Experience in applying agile and lean practices, as well as implementing DevOps and ITIL processes and practices.
Experience in building solutions using PowerAutomate / PowerApps / PowerBI / Bots (Power Virtual Agents) / AppStudio / OneDrive / SharePoint and other M365 components to bring value to business processes.
Background in collaborating with departments to analyse workflows and identify areas for improvement.
Experience of working in environments of a similar scale (~1300 users) with Enterprise/Government grade controls and standards.
Experience delivering strategies and designs including technical design, governance and risk considerations, and training requirements. Ability to present proposals to a range of audiences from users to executive management.
Experience of working within a mature agile team where trust, communication, collaboration, forward thinking, workload visualisation and constructive challenge are key attributes.
