Senior Director Investor Retail Lead - UK



What this job involves:



The Senior Director Investor Retail Lead will play a critical role in growing JLL's retail valuation business across the UK with a primary focus on targeting institutional funds and major investor clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the UK retail property market, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team of valuation professionals. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for all major investor retail clients, providing expert valuation advice on a wide range of retail assets. Whilst the focus will be institutional and investor related clients, they will work in close collaboration with the secured lending UK & Ireland team to ensure consistency in approach. This role reports to the UK & Ireland Investor Lead.



What your day-to-day will look like:

Lead UK Client Management for the Retail Investor Sector:



Develop and execute a growth strategy for the UK Retail Valuation market focusing on Institutional and Investor target clients.



Work with UK & Ireland Investor Leadership as part of wider strategies for growth and target clients



Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients, implementing account plans to increase & wallet share.



Build and maintain strong relationships with key target investor clients.



Represent JLL at retail industry events and conferences.



Valuation Expertise:



Provide expert valuation advice on a wide range of retail assets, including shopping centers, high street retail, retail warehouses, outlet malls and mixed-use developments for investor clients.



Oversee the investor valuation process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., RICS Red Book).



Manage client expectations and ensure timely delivery of high-quality valuation services.



Stay abreast of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the retail property sector.



Team Leadership:



Manage and mentor a team of valuation professionals on the Institutional and Investor pillar, providing guidance, training, and support.



Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment working alongside other Directors and working in close collaboration with the Secured Lending UK pillar.



Retain top talent.



Financial Performance:



Manage the financial performance of the UK Retail Investor Valuation team, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability.



Prepare and manage budgets.



Required Skills:



MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualification is essential.



Significant experience in retail property valuation, with a proven track record of success.



Deep understanding of the UK retail property market and valuation principles.



Strong client relationship skills and business development experience working with institutional investors, REITs, developers.



Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.



Proven leadership and team management abilities.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Proficiency in valuation software and Microsoft Office Suite.



Experience:



10+ years of experience in commercial property valuation, with a focus on retail assets.



5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
