Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children in our care. The Senior Early Years Educator will work closely with parents, colleagues, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the developmental needs of children aged 2-5 years. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where children feel valued and encouraged to explore. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning. Collaborate with parents to share updates on their child's development and address any concerns. Work as part of a team to create a positive atmosphere within the nursery setting. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years framework standards. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Create a positive impact on staff by role modelling within the environment Be a fun individual who enjoy and love the profession

Skills

Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare settings, ideally with nursery experience. Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their individual needs. Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting children or attending off-site activities. A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education practices.
