Astute are proudly partnered with a successful independent environmental and planning consultancy who for fifteen years has been at the core of the net zero economy, assisting clients in achieving their project objectives. Our client is looking for an established Ecologist looking to make a positive career move working across a range of projects within the renewable industry.

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Principal Ecologist you will be responsible for:

\xc2\xb7 Engage in scoping and managing projects of various sizes, from small to large scale.

\xc2\xb7 Undertake the planning and supervision of ecological surveys utilizing diverse survey methods.

\xc2\xb7 Handle negotiations with statutory agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

\xc2\xb7 We are responsible for crafting and producing a broad range of technical reports, including Ecological Impact Assessment.

\xc2\xb7 Cultivate and sustain relationships with both current and prospective clients.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare tenders and help in business development endeavours.

\xc2\xb7 Provide mentorship to junior members of the Atmos Ecology Team.

\xc2\xb7 Consistently operate in compliance with the CIEEM Professional Code of Conduct.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

\xc2\xb7 A BSc or MSc in a relevant subject, with a minimum of 3 years\' experience.

\xc2\xb7 A full member of CIEEM. Holding protected species survey licences together with experience of the protected species licensing process would be advantageous.

\xc2\xb7 Strong field experience with ambitions to develop your technical skills.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to advise clients.

\xc2\xb7 Health and Safety awareness, especially safe working practices and risk assessment related to ecology fieldwork.

\xc2\xb7 Full current driving licence.

Salary & Package
