We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead our electrical team in delivering high-quality projects and maintenance services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, project management, and team leadership. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
Duties
Supervise and manage the electrical team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and schematics.
Coordinate project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for electrical projects.
Perform inspection, testing, and verification in line with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
Carry out and complete
electrical certification online
using NICEIC platform.
Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Liaise with clients, engineers, and site management to ensure projects run smoothly.
Conduct quality checks and issue necessary reports and completion certificates.
Support and mentor junior electricians and apprentices.
Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team, promoting best practices in maintenance and operations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the electrical field, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
Solid understanding of electrical systems, including maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with project management principles and tools is essential for effective coordination of tasks.
Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics to guide installation and repair processes.
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
or equivalent qualification.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation.
ECS Gold Card or JIB-approved electrician status.
Strong understanding of BS 7671 (18th Edition).
Ability to complete certification
digitally/online
through approved software or portals.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and stakeholders effectively.
