2H Offshore is a global engineering contractor specialising in the design, engineering and integrity management of offshore structures, topsides facilities, subsea components and riser and conductor systems for the offshore renewables and oil and gas sectors. Both market sectors require similar engineering skill sets, and our breadth of experience in offshore structures and environments allows us to provide expertise at all stages of a project: feasibility and concept design, detailed design, procurement management, fabrication support, installation support, monitoring, integrity management, asset life extension and decommissioning.

• Fixed & floating wind, wave & tidal structures
• Subsea risers, umbilicals, cables and conductors
• Minimum facility platforms & subsea structures

2H Offshore are looking to add a Senior Engineer to their expanding team in Aberdeen (other locations may be considered). As a Senior Engineer, you will be part of or manage multi-disciplinary project teams (of typically 3 people or more) across a wide variety of projects, encompassing engineering design and analysis at the conceptual, feasibility, FEED, detailed design, and/or installation stages of projects. You will take a leading role on these projects and develop strong and close working relationships with our engineering team and our clients founded on a personal approach and technical excellence. You will take joint responsibility to lead, support and develop other engineers to deliver the technical excellence 2H expect across a wide variety of riser and renewable projects.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Leadership and project management of scopes of work
• Lead communication of technical results and conclusions to other members of the team and clients through meetings, presentations and written reports
• Carry out efficiently, oversee and/or lead QA of dynamic structural analysis
• Ensure work is carried out on time and on budget
• Ensure analysis is carried out in line with industry standards and recommendations
• Develop and guide junior engineers
• Minute and communicate meetings as project manager (internal & external)
• Liaise with clients to solve problems and establish viable solutions for systems configuration and operation
• Attend conferences, expos and seminars for personal development and networking

Requirements

• Minimum 2:1 Masters degree, preferred in Naval Architecture, Hydrodynamics or Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Civil)
• Minimum 3 years\' experience in the offshore wind or oil and gas field, but other engineering backgrounds will be considered
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Track record of undertaking either riser analysis, mooring analysis, conductor analysis, installation analysis or similar in OrcaFlex or Flexcom
• Experience with: Drilling, completion or production riser systems (flexible, rigid or hybrid); and/or Floating wind power cables or mooring analysis; and/or Experience of design or integrity management as a differentiator
• Ability and enthusiasm to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
• Ability to work independently, strong sense of personal accountability and self-motivation as well as collaboratively within a team
• Capability to oversee and review dynamic structural based design work, interpreting results to form sound engineering judgements and recommendations
• Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms, with highly effective inter-personal skills supported by good attention to detail
• Desire and ambition to achieve both technical and personal excellence by committing to personal and professional development
