Job Title: Senior Technology Development Engineer

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

\xc2\xb7 Supporting teams within Engineering to propose and deliver R&D projects as part of the Technology Management portfolio

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring R&D projects are managed correctly, reporting progress at key stage gate reviews, and keeping all stakeholders informed

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining and reporting monthly financial and progress information for R&D projects

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining a watch on relevant technologies that may be of interest to the business, including regular contact with partner universities

\xc2\xb7 Encouraging and supporting the submission of ideas for new R&D projects

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

\xc2\xb7 STEM-related degree or equivalent experience

\xc2\xb7 An interest in the development and introduction of new technologies

\xc2\xb7 2+ years\' experience within large or complex engineering projects

\xc2\xb7 Self-motivated with good communication skills

The Technology Management team:

Our team are responsible for informing and implementing the BAE Systems Submarines Technology Strategy, identifying business challenges and opportunities, and the key technologies that could address them, then coordinating and facilitating the R&D activities to mature those technologies.

As a part of the team, you will gain exposure to all areas and functions of the business, as well as, career progression opportunities. The role also includes opportunities to liaise with and visit our university and industry partners both in the UK and abroad.
