Job Description


Senior Financial Accountant with a mix of reporting, partnership accounting, and audit support

  • Support Partners in securing Capital Loans, including incremental increases and settlement upon departure.
  • Preparation or Partner Accounts including Capital Comparison computation.
  • Review monthly drawings.
  • Remaining abreast of industry changes that impact the firm and making recommendations for policy or procedure changes as needed.
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller on the year end audit and preparation of the annual financial statements including all subsidiary company accounts.
  • Preparing schedules for year-end Partnership accounts and audit (for UK and overseas offices)
  • Preparation of year-end journals and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely closing of the year-end. Work includes but not limited to: Bad debt provisions, holiday carry over accruals, depreciation, etc.
  • Managing the Charitable Trust including account preparation and audit.
  • Review of Partnership Tax computation, working alongside Head of Tax.
  • Review key statistical data to the Office of National Statistics.
  • Review quarterly VAT returns for all entities.
  • Partnering with managers across the firm and assisting with the budget process.
  • Provide support to Financial Controller and others in the Finance Team.
  • Participate in systems upgrades and implementations ensuring that systems support both firm and UK statutory requirements.
  • Mentor, coach and train accounting staff, ensuring compliance with firm policies and procedures.

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Experience in Partnership Accounting
  • Four years\' experience, post qualification in a relevant professional services environment
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with internal clients and the resilience
  • A confident, proactive individual prepared to take a hands-on approach to managing their workload using their own initiative
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and a good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office Packages (e.g. Word).
  • Experience in using 3E accounting software (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, and spoken
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and good use of grammar
  • Experience of working in a diverse team whilst fostering an inclusive team culture
  • High level of professionalism and integrity; displays the highest standard of professional ethics
