Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Florist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral design and a strong understanding of a retail florist store. This role involves creating stunning floral arrangements for various occasions while providing exceptional customer service. The Senior Florist will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the floral department.

Duties

Design and create beautiful floral arrangements for events, weddings, and everyday occasions. Sell floral products and provide expert advice to customers on flower selection and care. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available and in good condition. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences, offering personalised service. Manage inventory levels Train and mentor junior florists, sharing knowledge about floral design techniques and customer service best practices. Stay updated on current trends in floral design and garden care to provide informed recommendations to clients. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a florist with A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITHIN AN ESTABLISHED RETAIL, BRICK AND MOTAR FLORIST SHOP, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is an advantage. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A solid understanding of garden plants, flowers, and their care requirements. Ability to sell products effectively while providing outstanding customer service. Creative flair with an eye for detail in design aesthetics. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak seasons.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.44-13.50 per hour
