Location: Hertford - With hybrid working
Starting Salary: \xc2\xa338,296 with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of \xc2\xa342,503
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: 1x Fixed Term & 1x Permanent

We are recruiting to a Senior Fraud Investigator role within a highly respected and award winning service.

We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual who is passionate about fraud prevention, detection, and investigation. This role requires good decision-making skills, an ability to manage a high volume case load to demanding targets and time scales and deliver excellent outcomes for our partners.

Job Duties: (Recruiter to copy from Job outline)

At the Shared Anti-Fraud Service, we protect the public purse from the constant threat of fraud. Our dedicated team of fraud and financial investigators, intelligence officers and data-analyst combat fraud every day working with colleagues in Councils, housing providers, DWP, HMRC and the Police.

Working with Councils and other organisations across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the UK we provide advice and guidance regarding fraud and corruption, undertake proactive counter-fraud exercises, data-analytics and deliver training and awareness.

You\'ll be actively involved in all aspects of our counter fraud operations and assuming responsibility for larger and more serious and complex cases. Through your day to day work you will Identify areas of risk and complete Risk Assessment reports to help partners mitigate and prevent fraud occurring.

You will be driving forward partnership working and identifying opportunities to work effectively with other Local Authorities. You will represent SAFS when engaging with Law Enforcement agencies, Central Government bodies and other Local Authorities.

You will be key in supporting less experienced investigators, hold regular case reviews and provide support and guidance as well as supporting management functions in the team.

Qualifications required: ACFS / PIP / Member of the Government Counter Fraud Profession.
