Aircards creates Mixed Reality (XR) experiences for brands, organisations and marketers. We manage all XR development, technical coordination, and cloud-based infrastructure deployment. We take an active role in XR ideation and the creative process, along with development, hosting and analytics.

We've recently secured to scale immersive innovation from our studio and products. Our client base includes high-profile global brands such as Unilever, Diageo, Samsung, and Deloitte. We have team members in the USA and UK. Our UK office is in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

- Spatial analytics platform that delivers real-time insights for AR, VR, and games, empowering businesses to optimize experiences, quantify ROI, and drive data-informed innovation in the Metaverse.

- Leading provider of interactive displays for public spaces, delivering high-performance, real-time systems that blend computer vision, immersive media, and advanced deployment tooling.

- Online 3D model viewer where designers can share, present, and collaborate on their 3D assets with stakeholders.

Summary:



The Senior Fullstack Engineer will work with the Aircards product teams to build robust, scalable, and customer-first features. This role focuses on Metalitix with the potential to expand to other products. It includes taking ownership of feature frontend and backend solutions through substantial yet calculated contributions to the codebase, integrating innovative technologies along the way.

In the first 30 days, you will implement the frontend for a major Metalitix feature, leaning on requirements from an existing spec, refinement from stakeholder feedback, and collaboration with backend engineers.

In the first 60 days,you will help in the decision-making of a new Metalitix feature and spearhead its frontend and backend implementation alongside other engineers.

In the first 90 days, your contributions will expand to support a second product.

Responsibilities:



Own frontend architectures built with Typescript and React plus drive componentization through component libraries. Develop robust, secure, and scalable backend solutions with ExpressJS, Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Work with 3D visualizations using APIs like ThreeJS and WebGL. Advocate for efficient deployment patterns through best practices in clean code, code reviews, and CI/CD. Integrate new APIs and libraries into products that streamline development processes and unlock opportunity. Deeply understand customer problems and business needs to ensure effective and timely feature implementation. Communicate effectively and constructively with technical and non-technical team members on ideation and implementation details. Contribute to the development and advancement of the immersive technology industry, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge technology trends. Document development best practices and proprietary components.

Requirements:



7+ years of experience as a software engineer or equivalent senior-level role. Proficiency in Typescript, React, PostgreSQL, and ExpressJS. Experience with version control, AWS, ThreeJS, and WebGL. Strong problem-solving abilities and talent for navigating ambiguous problems autonomously. Demonstrated ability to be an effective collaborator and mission advocate. Past projects building one of the following: data analytics visualizations, web-based mixed reality experiences, or growth-stage SaaS products.

Preferred:



Willing to work in-person at our Newcastle upon Tyne office. Hybrid OK. Passion working for fast-paced, small and early-stage companies. Experience working on SaaS products and/or analytics dashboards.
Working knowledge of Vue, Tauri, and Python.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-66,125.86 per year
