Our Hillier Garden Centre at Weyhill, near Andover is a well-established and popular destination for gardening enthusiasts, offering a wide range of plants, gifts, outdoor living product and expert advice.


We're looking for an enthusiastic Senior Garden Centre Assistant (Horti) to support the daily operations of our vibrant centre, ensuring every visitor receives expert advice, exceptional service, and an inspiring experience.


As a vital link between staff and management, you'll foster a positive, productive working environment while helping to achieve our sales and performance goals. From maintaining healthy, beautiful plant displays to helping customers find just what they need -- your knowledge, initiative, and team spirit will make all the difference.


This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis of 37.5 hours per week, which includes alternate weekend working.


What you'll do




Support the department and centre managers across daily operations. Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service and uphold high presentation standards. Offer advice and recommendations on plants and products. Ensure accurate pricing, rotation, and stock presentation. Maintain plant health and assist with deliveries and merchandising. Promote the Hillier Gardening Club and process transactions with care. Keep the centre clean, welcoming, and compliant with health and safety.
