We are seeking a talented and experienced

Hair Stylist

who specialises in Afro braiding, wig making, and sew-in extensions to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your creativity and expertise to a salon that values skill, professionalism, and client satisfaction.

Role Overview

The Hair Stylist will deliver exceptional hairstyling services with a focus on

Afro braiding, wig creation, wig revamping, and sew-in/extensions installations

. You will provide clients with styles that protect natural hair while enhancing beauty and confidence. The ideal candidate is skilled, reliable, and passionate about both modern and traditional Afro hair techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional hairstyling services including: Box braids, knotless braids, cornrows, twists, and other protective styles. Custom wig making, wig revamping, colouring, and styling. Sew-in extensions, leave-outs, closures, and frontal installations. Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and hair health goals. Advise on hair care, maintenance, and protective styling best practices. Maintain salon cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards. Stay up to date with current hair trends, techniques, and products. Deliver excellent customer service to build long-lasting client relationships.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Hair Stylist specialising in Afro braiding, wig making, and extensions. Strong portfolio of previous work (braids, wigs, sew-ins). Knowledge of hair care for Afro and textured hair types. Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Team player with a professional attitude. NVQ Level 2/3 in Hairdressing or equivalent (preferred but not essential if experience is strong).
