We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker, working in the Cheltenham and Gloucester Pathway.
We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in temporary accommodation, who understand homelessness and supporting people with high support/complex needs. The role of Senior Support Worker requires someone with previous experience of managing and leading a team and who is emotionally resilient to be able to help improve the lives of others.

The role is 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday. As part of this role, you will be required to be part of an on-call team. YMCA Cheltenham are happy to discuss flexible working: such as part time or look at job sharing for the successful candidate.
Salary is up to 31,100 per annum, dependent on relevant skills, experience, and a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field or Line Management.
ABOUT YOU
We are inviting applications for a Senior Support Worker working in the Cheltenham and Gloucester Pathway.
To be successful in this role, you should have recent experience in providing line management, preferably within the supported housing sector. You will have experience in recruiting staff, providing 121s, induction, probations and appraisals, and have the ability to motivate people, be organised, able to meet deadlines, be able to communicate effectively, be tactful and diplomatic, be attentive to detail, have good problem-solving skills, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Support Worker will line manage a team of Housing Support Workers, to support the most vulnerable and excluded in society, to move from a place of personal risk and vulnerability to a place of personal resilience and independence.
The Senior Support Worker will report to the Senior Manager for the PATHWAY HOME Cheltenham and Gloucester in supporting residents on their journey through their first stage of supported living to move on accommodation, which will be different for each resident.
The Senior Support Worker will:
Line manage a team of support workers including providing 121s, probations and appraisals.
Supervise and guide staff in the provision of support, in a number of sites, in the PATHWAY HOME in Cheltenham and Gloucester.
Be able to provide cover for the Senior Manager for the PATHWAY HOME in Cheltenham and Gloucester, in times of absence, to ensure that stakeholders, partners and commissioners are able to be informed of service outcomes as necessary.
Be able to provide information and operational insight to the Head of Housing Policy and Performance, other member of the Senior Leadership Team or the CEO, if required, to ensure they are kept informed with service outcomes.
Provide cover for support workers in times of absence, to ensure service provision is maintained.
Provide supervisory functions for a team of support workers, in relation to all HR matters and requirements of the organisation.
Be able to assist the Senior Manager in delivering Temporary Accommodation and Accommodation based support contracts. This will involve supporting key-workers to deliver evidenced based support through take up of work/volunteering/ engagement with agencies/attending activities. Delivery to be recorded via Outcome Stars, INFORM, and Casework records.
Be able to assist the Senior Manager, to provide accurate information in relation to contractual delivery via collation of data, overseeing and contributing to written reports
