We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior HR Consultant to work within the HR Consultancy Team which provides a high level of customer service across the four directorates of the Council. You will be working as part of a committed and experienced team of HR professionals in an exciting, challenging, and fast paced environment.
You will undertake projects relating to workforce issues, developing effective working relationships with senior management, managers, employees and trade union representatives to seek resolution of HR/workforce issues, recommending action or support as appropriate.
You will have demonstrable experience in providing generalist HR support and advice in recruitment & retention, complex employee relations case work including disciplinary, grievance and capability, terms & conditions, attendance management, restructuring/TUPE and training design and delivery. You will also have experience of developing corporate HR policies and procedures, analysing and presenting management information, delivering projects within defined timescales and working with Trade Unions.
Candidates must be CIPD qualified and have up to date knowledge and experience of interpreting and applying employment legislation.
