Position Overview
The Senior IT Technician plays a vital role in the day-to-day and strategic delivery of IT
services across school and business environments,. The postholder will manager complex technical issues, oversee infrastructure projects, supervise and support filed engineers, and act as a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Management
Lead and manage assigned IT projects from initiation to completion.
Assist in the design, implementation, and review of development plans in alignment with school and business goals.
Standardise development plans, supporting and supervising field engineers to ensure consistent delivery.
Resolve escalation technical issues and act as the final point of escalation.
Manage infrastructure projects including server installations, re-installations, and reconfigurations
expectations.
Technical Support and Improvement
Identify physical weakness in setups and infrastructure and propose solutions to
improve reliability and performance.
Research, evaluate, and recommend merging technologies and methodologies to
enhance Blue Orange services and customer experience.
Analyse helpdesk tickets and identify trends to inform improvements and prevent
recurring issues.
Oversee and implement continual service improvements to deliver long-term
solutions.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
Host internal and external stakeholder meetings to discuss IT needs and progress.
Liaise with thirds-party suppliers (e.g. printers, firewall providers) for project
implementation purposes.
Act as the primary point of contract for all IRT services delivered to Westholme and
other allocate sites.
Manage the helpdesk for designated schools, ensuring
of all service requests.
Maintain strong communication between Blue Orange, customers, supplies, staff and
students.
Support Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance, support and training to engineers and junior technicians
as needed.
Maintain strong relationships of trust with management and provide reliable technical input based on proven expertise.
Support school and business environments with technical decision making and
escalate critical issues appropriately to Technical Managers or Directors.
Act as a role model for professional standards, leading by example in both
appearance and behaviour.
Manage budgetary aspects associated with IT projects and service delivery.
Understand the unique requirements of both educational and business settings and
adapt services accordingly.
Identify long-term service improvements to ensure lasting value for customers.
Oversee and maintain infrastructures to the highest standards of security and
reliability.

Pay: 30,000.00-36,000.00 per year
