We are seeking a proactive and collaborative publishing professional to support external journal clients by ensuring production processes meet their evolving needs. This role involves advising on best practices, troubleshooting issues, and delivering performance reports, while collaborating with clients, internal colleagues and suppliers to implement changes that enhance quality, efficiency, and consistency. Acting as a key point of contact, you'll represent OUP's production services in meetings and calls, and maintain accurate documentation to support smooth delivery of content and services.
As a senior member of the team, you will lead and contribute to departmental projects that improve and standardize production workflows. You'll also support journal editors with issue planning, coordinate process changes with internal and external teams, and provide training and mentorship to colleagues. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a range of stakeholders.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
ABOUT YOU
Experience in production and publishing environments, including the management of new, sensitive, or significantly complex work.
Experience of client account management.
