Job Introduction

SENIOR LEARNING COACH


Full time (31.25 hours) or minimum 4 days a week


8:15am to 3pm daily, term time plus one week


GRADE D: 27,779 - 30,564 FTE / 20,584 - 22,648 actual salary based on full time hours

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Senior Learning Coach to lead a small team of Learning Coaches to ensure students within your assigned year group receive the highest quality, personalised interventions.


Whilst primarily classroom based, the role allows flexibility within your day to work with the students that need the intervention at that time. In addition, you will prepare and update timetables in conjunction with the Learning Support Manager; liaise with parents and external partners as appropriate; and attend year team and EHCP meetings as appropriate.


Each Senior Learning Coach has an area of responsibility around the outcomes in an EHCP that include Cognition and Learning / Communication and Interaction / Sensory and Physical / SEMH / Access Arrangements so you will become an expert in a particular area. Training and support will be provided as needed.


We'd like you to have recent experience of working with and supporting secondary age students with a range of needs and be able to work flexibly in response to changing curriculum needs and the needs of individual students. With a positive 'can-do' attitude and an enthusiastic personality, you will be able to communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate a high level of computer literacy. Experience of leading and developing others would be preferred.
