An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Senior Manager Recruitment in People and Organisation Development.

What you will be doing?

To be the strategic lead for Recruitment including talent attraction, selection, promotion, apprenticeships and Internships within the Force, ensuring the targets set in the Strategic Workforce Plan are achieved. In addition, to have responsibility for the effective management of the People and Organisation Development administrative functions.


To be responsible for the implementation of the workforce plan through management of all recruitment, selection, promotion and apprenticeship processes, ensuring compliance with force and national strategies. Employment Law, Police Regulations and Home Office Circulars.


To be responsible for implementing contemporary, best practice recruitment and selection methods to attract and recruit the best talent to meet organisational needs.


To work collaboratively with All Wales colleagues on recruitment, selection and promotion processes, where there is agreed strategic intent.


To prepare and present reports to the relevant governance boards and perform the role of subject matter expert as required.


To oversee the police staff apprenticeship and internship framework for Dyfed Powys Police.
