Role Overview
As a Senior Manager within our Restructuring Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex restructuring, turnaround, and insolvency solutions. You will be responsible for managing high-impact engagements, shaping strategic outcomes for distressed businesses, and contributing to the firm's growth through strong client relationships and market insight. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a proven track record of success in challenging and dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of restructuring and insolvency assignments across a range of sectors
Play a key role in the delivery of strategic advice and practical solutions to distressed businesses
Oversee a portfolio of insolvency cases (administrations, CVLs, WUCs, CVAs)
Supervise case progression and ensure compliance with insolvency legislation
Draft and review high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Conduct financial analysis to underpin advice on financial restructuring, distressed M&A, and potential formal insolvency options
Collaborate with legal, finance and operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, lenders and other key stakeholders
Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and market positioning
Manage and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and high performance
Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, professional standards and internal policies
Take a lead role in high-impact, complex restructuring engagements, often involving cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders
Qualifications
Degree educated; relevant professional qualifications (JIEB, ACA/ACCA) desirable
Deep expertise in restructuring and insolvency developed within a professional services or advisory environment
Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and restructuring frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Commercially astute with a solutions-focused mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office and insolvency case management systems (e.g., IPS)
Collaborative team player with a proactive and adaptable approach that is capable of managing competing priorities and delivering under pressure
