Key responsibilities and duties:



Master Scheduling & MPS Management



Lead and manage a team of Planners, ensuring they effectively control scheduling and planning activities from Cycle 2 through to completion and customer dispatch. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to the planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Develop, manage, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across multiple engine programs, ensuring accurate scheduling for Cycles 1, 2, and 3 within a 6-month horizon. Align the MPS with short-term business goals, drive capacity levels and customer demand, working with the IBP Manager to ensure alignment with the 6-month scheduling period. Oversee the integration of material requirements, kitting, and procurement to ensure On Time in Full (OTIF) delivery. Problem-Solving and Risk Mitigation: Identify potential scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or resource constraints. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure schedule adherence.

Team Leadership & Coordination



Lead and manage a team of Planners, ensuring they effectively control scheduling and planning activities from Cycle 2 through to completion and customer dispatch. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to the planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Coordinate and ensure the tracking and visibility of serviceable materials for each project within the business, ensuring alignment with operational and customer requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Act as the key interface between Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, and other departments, ensuring alignment across all areas of the business for each engine program. Liaise with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and other relevant teams to ensure material and production requirements are met to support on-time deliveries. Lead meetings to discuss issues, escalate risks when necessary, and promote a clear understanding of project progress across stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Data Reporting



Drive continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling, planning, and supply chain activities, ensuring the timely identification and resolution of challenges. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling and material delivery, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting for business stakeholders. Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other relevant business manuals.

Compliance & Risk Management



Ensure adherence to all risk assessments and internal procedures to maintain safety and compliance. Maintain effective housekeeping and organizational practices within the scheduling and planning function.

Strong analytical and numerate skills with the ability to manage complex scheduling systems. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all departments. Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise updates. Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, with a sound understanding of planning and scheduling activities. Proven leadership ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team of planners.

Functional:



Essential

Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and scheduling. Proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications. Ability to analyse data and make decisions based on complex forecasting and scheduling information.

Desirable

Experience of using Power BI.


Organisational Relationships:



Reports to the IBP Manager with close working relationships with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams. Responsible for the leadership and coordination of the Planning / Scheduling team.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:



Desirable

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field

Equivalent experience will also be considered.


Experience:



Desirable

Minimum of 5 years experience in a planning or scheduling role within an MRO. Previous leadership experience in managing teams of planners/schedulers Experience managing complex engine programs with Cycles 1, 2, and 3
Essential

Proven experience in long-term forecasting and coordinating multiple departments.
