Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of individuals in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and a genuine passion for senior care.
Hours are 8pm to 8am on a rolling 2 week rota, we have various hours and bank positions
Duties
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
Drive engagement through social activities and companionship to enhance residents' quality of life.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
Requirements
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care plans and documentation.
A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the care home.
