We are currently recruiting for a senior care assistant for up to 33hours a week
Key Responsibilities:
To provide personal care and support to Service Users using a person centered approach under the direction of Management within the home.
To have a working knowledge of the care and support of the Service Users
To encourage independence and maintain Service Users skills and abilities in all aspects of daily living where possible.
To assist Service Users in all aspects of their daily living.
To assist Service Users with toileting, continence management and personal hygiene.
To assist Service Users with their nutritional needs and cultural requirements.
To use manual handling equipment safely and use correct techniques imparting this knowledge to other staff within the home.
To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with Service Users, their family and friends.
To ensure that effective communication exists between external professionals and the home aiding Service Users to maintain contact with external services.
To accompany the Service Users on trips into the community when required.
To act as a Key Worker for a number of Service Users within the home.
To assist in the development of Care Assistants through induction, coaching and supporting new staff into the home.
To conduct supervision of staff, compiling accurate records.
To ensure that medication is administered and managed in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
To promote Capital Care Group and its philosophy of care to all health and social care professionals.
To direct and lead staff on a daily basis, ensuring that all required duties are allocated and completed in a timely manner.
To ensure effective handovers take place and documentation is completed
Summary
As a Senior Night Care Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the care of residents during night time hours, ensuring their safety and well-being. Reporting to the Nurse in charge, you will utilize your leadership and communication skills to implement care plans effectively. Your experience in manual handling will be essential in providing physical support to residents. Additionally, your premium skills in senior care and familiarity with care home environments will enhance the quality of care provided. Qualifications
Proven supervisory experience in a care setting
Strong leadership skills to guide and support team members
Ability to develop and implement care plans effectively
Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents and families
Experience in senior care and working within a care home environment
Valid driving license is preferred
Knowledge of manual handling techniques
Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes
