As a Senior Care Worker with CrossReach, you will provide confident leadership and a reassuring presence during the night hours. You will support older people and guide the night team, ensuring care is delivered safely, consistently and with dignity when residents need it most.


Your calm approach and sound judgement will help create a peaceful environment where everyone feels secure, respected and well cared for.

What Your Night Could Involve

Leading and supporting the night care team, including clear task allocation and handovers Providing senior and management cover throughout the night Overseeing care delivery, care planning and medication management Responding effectively to changing needs and night-time situations Supervising and supporting staff, offering guidance and reassurance Maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness and quality Completing accurate records and ensuring clear communication with the day team

About You

You are a confident and compassionate leader with a calm, steady approach, particularly during quieter hours. You support others with empathy, integrity and clear direction. You have a Christian faith and feel comfortable working within and upholding the CrossReach ethos.


You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Social Care and be willing to work towards PDA Supervision, PDA Medication, SVQ Level 4 and the Workplace Assessor Award. You will also need basic computer skills, SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership.

As we do our work in Christ's name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.


This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
