We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in care homes and senior care settings. Duties
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
Support residents with medication management in accordance with care plans
Organise and supervise recreational activities to promote social engagement and mental well-being
Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Drive residents to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safety and comfort during transit
Supervise junior staff or volunteers when necessary, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high standards of care are maintained
Follow health and safety regulations diligently, including infection control protocols
Qualifications
Previous experience working in a care home or senior care environment is preferred
Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for overseeing team members or volunteers
Valid driving licence and ability to drive residents safely is desirable
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues
Familiarity with IT systems utilised for record keeping and care planning is beneficial
Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
