Job Summary



We are seeking an experienced and dedicated

Senior Nurse (RGN)

to join our leadership team at our nursing home in Ballynahinch. This is a key role for a

Registered Nurse

with a valid

NMC PIN

and a proven background in

nursing home

care, ready to take on greater clinical leadership responsibilities.

As a

Senior Nurse

, you will be the clinical lead during day shifts, taking charge of the floor and working closely with the

Deputy Manager

to ensure the highest standards of

elderly care

. We are looking for a candidate with experience as a

Clinical Lead

,

Senior Staff Nurse

, or

Deputy

, who is confident in supervising shifts and mentoring junior staff. If you are a seasoned

RGN

with at least three years of experience, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities



Take clinical charge of day shifts, providing leadership, supervision, and support to the nursing and care team. Deliver outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents, acting as a role model for best practices. Work in close partnership with the

Deputy Manager

to oversee the clinical delivery and well-being of residents. Mentor, support, and supervise

Staff Nurses

and junior care staff, fostering a positive and educational environment. Confidently manage

medication rounds

, complex clinical procedures, and the development of care plans. Utilise your extensive experience to assess, plan, and evaluate care, making sound clinical decisions autonomously. Uphold the highest standards of safety, dignity, and clinical excellence in line with

NMC

codes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience Required



Valid NMC PIN

as a

Registered Nurse (RGN)

. A minimum of

3 years of post-qualification experience

as an

RGN

within a UK

nursing home

environment. Proven experience in a senior capacity, such as a

Senior Staff Nurse

,

Clinical Lead (CL)

, or

Deputy Manager

. The ability to take shift charge, demonstrating strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. A confident and compassionate leader with excellent communication and mentorship abilities. A deep commitment to providing the highest standard of
