Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Nursery Assistant to join our team at a vibrant nursery in the heart of the community. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of young children in a nurturing environment. We are flexible on whether the candidate wishes to hold a part time or full time contract with the minimum daily hours being 8 hours. Part time hours can be from 8-12 hours a day over 3/4 days a week.

Responsibilities

- Assist in providing a safe and stimulating environment for children
- Support the nursery staff in delivering engaging activities and play opportunities
- Help with feeding, changing, and supervising children during daily routines
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the nursery premises
- Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding children's progress

Qualifications

- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working with young children is essential
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude towards children
- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions effectively
- A genuine passion for early years education and child development

Expectations;

Able to work effectively and sensitively with young children and babies. Strong affinity to work with young children. Good interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills particularly verbal communications. Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh
Ability to work effectively as directed and at times on their own initiatives. Able to remain focussed and committed to meeting or improving a standard of excellence. Demonstrates a broad based view of issues, events and activities and a perception of their longer term impact and wider implications.
*The main method of communication at the Nursery will predominantly be though the medium of Welsh. However, the nursery encourages promotes and upholds equal opportunities and diversity.

Pay: 12.77 per hour
