We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a nurturing and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. This role requires a proactive approach to developing programmes that cater to the needs of children while fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and families.
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff in their professional development, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development in line with early years frameworks.
Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to ensure the nursery runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies to support individual learning needs.
Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning through regular inspections and maintenance checks.
Experience
Proven experience in a management role within a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
Experience working directly with children in a childcare setting is crucial.
