Senior Surveyor - Healthcare TeamOperational Real Estate, Value & Risk AdvisoryLondon, UKAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our specialist Healthcare team within Operational Real Estate in Value & Risk Advisory. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading healthcare investors, providers, NHS Trusts, private healthcare operators, and retirement living developers across the UK, delivering strategic real estate advisory and valuation solutions for lenders and investors in the healthcare and senior living sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesHealthcare Real Estate AdvisoryProvide expert valuation and advisory services for healthcare properties including retirement living, hospitals, medical centres, care facilities, and specialist treatment centres

Deliver strategic real estate advice for healthcare property acquisitions, disposals, and development projects

Prepare RICS Red Book valuations for healthcare properties across various purposes including financial reporting, lending, and strategic planning

Conduct portfolio valuations and market analysis for healthcare real estate assets



Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients

Support business development activities within the healthcare sector

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams



Team Leadership & DevelopmentMentor junior surveyors and graduates within the healthcare team

Contribute to training programs and knowledge sharing initiatives

Support APC candidates through their professional development journey

Participate in sector-specific research and thought leadership activities

Collaborate with wider EMEA Healthcare teams



Essential RequirementsProfessional QualificationsMRICS qualified, ideally with post-qualification experience in the healthcare sector

Degree in Real Estate, Surveying, or related discipline

Comprehensive knowledge of RICS valuation and professional standards



Healthcare Sector ExperienceExperience in healthcare real estate valuation preferred

Understanding of healthcare sub sectors and regulatory environment

Experience with healthcare property investment markets and funding mechanisms



Technical SkillsExpert knowledge of valuation methodologies for specialist healthcare properties

Experience with portfolio valuation and investment advisory services

Proficiency in relevant software including Argus, Excel, and property databases



Professional SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines

Commercial awareness and understanding of healthcare market dynamics



Desirable RequirementsExperience with healthcare investment funds or REIT portfolios

Understanding of environmental sustainability impact on healthcare property values
